Raj Pragasam

Raj Pragasam currently serves as Senior Vice President Human Resources, Compass Group North America. Raj joined the Officer Group in 2014 and held the position of Chief Inclusion Officer from 2014-2016.

A native of Sri Lanka, Raj joined Compass Group UK in 1979, serving as a member of Compass Group’s UK management team while overseeing human resources for the Millennium Dome in London. From 1990 to 1999, he also served as vice president – human resources for Batemans, Inc. / Chartwells Inc. and Select Service Partners, divisions of Compass Group PLC.

In 2001, Raj came to the US and joined Compass Group North America, where he created a consolidated and integrated recruitment service through Resource Network (RN), and a centralized human resources service center through HRSC. He provides strategic HR leadership for Compass Group’s healthcare and support services companies and aids in career development for all management associates.

Raj received his master’s degree in human resource management from the London School of Business Management, and his Bachelor of Science degree from Brunel University in Uxbridge, UK. He also holds a higher national diploma in business management from Kingston University in Surrey, UK.

Raj is married with two children and one grandson and resides in Naples, FL.
