Compass Group USA at Climate Week NYC 2025: Sustainability at Our Core

October 01, 2025

Every year, Climate Week NYC brings together leaders across industries to explore solutions for a healthier planet. At Compass Group, food is at the center of that conversation — because what and how we eat shapes the future of our climate and our communities.

This year, we were proud to contribute our voice and perspective to the global dialogue.

At FoodTank’s Food Futures Panel

Amy Keister, our Global Director of Sustainability, joined voices from Whole Foods, Target, and IBM to talk about what it takes to make progress. The conversation emphasized the role of technology, utilizing tools like AI to enhance traceability and efficiency, while also recognizing that trust, collaboration, and support for farmers are at the heart of lasting change.

Where Change Becomes Delicious

Later at the Javits Center, Ann Sheridan, our VP of Communications, moderated “Where Change Becomes Delicious” with Amy and Ed Brown, CEO of Restaurant Associates.

Through stories of food, family, and craft, they reminded us that sustainability isn’t separate from what we do, it’s part of who we are at Compass. From treasuring every carrot to turning scraps into something special, we believe food is too precious to waste. And importantly, this isn’t just a sustainability strategy, it’s a business strategy, woven into every decision we make.

For Compass Group, sustainability is embedded in daily choices, big and small. It’s how we honor food, support people, and care for our planet, together. Climate Week was a powerful reminder that food has the power to drive change and that our responsibility is to lead with both innovation and integrity.
