A Compass Group USA Tribute to the 3,000+ Nutrition Experts Driving Health and Wellness
[March 12, 2025] Across the country, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) at Compass Group come to work every day committed to helping others live their best lives. Today, on RDN Day, we celebrate more than 3,000 Food and Nutrition Superstars, applauding the impact these experts have on our guests, clients and teams. Their work spans a lifetime and is a testament to the power of education, collaboration and innovation in shaping a healthier future.
RDNs meet guests where they are using social media, Teaching Kitchens and superfood sampling tables as tools for proactive nutrition knowledge and introducing new ingredients.
“Behind each of the more than 2 million meals we serve every day in K12, our Registered Dietitians ensure all students can enjoy a happy, healthy and safe experience in our cafeterias,” said Amy Shaffer, CEO of Chartwells K12. “From ensuring kids receive the nutrition they need to encouraging healthy habits that last a lifetime, thank you for all you do for the students and communities we serve.”
Working side-by-side with chefs, RDNs work to create nutrient-dense meals that don’t compromise on flavor and are inclusive to everyone they serve. “Dietitians are the subject matter experts on nutrition. This role is vital for our customers, clients and all our culinary programming,” said Chris Ivens-Brown, Compass Group North America Chief Culinary Officer. “It’s this partnership that allows us to create purpose-driven menus, weaving well-being and sustainability into everything we do.”
When it comes to healthcare, our food and nutrition experts play a critical role in translating the science of nutrition into practical and approachable solutions for healthy living. “The expertise of our RDNs ensures patients and residents receive nourishing meals that support healing and well-being,” said Bobby Kutteh, Compass One Healthcare CEO. “Their dedication to nutrition education and individualized care makes a lasting impact on the people we serve.”
