What does developing your associates mean to you?
To me, developing associates means leading by example, always being transparent, and recognizing opportunities to provide coaching.

Do you try to incorporate on the job learning with your team? If yes, please provide some examples.
Absolutely! I invite our team to participate in the EverSource Ride Along program where they can “shadow” me for a day and participate in activities such as client meetings, interviews, etc. I also focus on teaching my team how to handle difficult situations and coach them through conversations, allowing them to take full ownership. This creates a sense of accountability.

What advice do you have for Compass Group associates looking to develop their careers?
Question everything! Pay attention to what is going on around you and never be afraid to ask questions. The more you learn, the more valuable you become, and the better positioned you will be to take on new challenges and opportunities.

How do you maintain a healthy work/life balance?
If you do what you say you’re going to do during the day, you can disconnect. If you have a good relationship with your client and team, you can disconnect. It’s difficult, but I try to train myself to understand that work is work and life is life.

Do you have a favorite quote or personal mantra?
