Compass Group Celebrates the People Creating the Experiences
Inaugural Services Appreciation Week May 1-7 recognizes teams working in facility and support services
Compass Group is a leading provider of integrated facilities management, support services and data-driven technology innovations. We’re proud of our 60,000 dedicated, talented and passionate people who provide critical solutions in corporate, education and healthcare. Leveraging the “Power of Compass,” subject matter experts share best practices, innovations and operational procedures to bring the best of the industry to our clients. To highlight their critical contributions to the success of our family of businesses, we established May 1st – 7th as Services Appreciation Week.
“While Compass Group is best known for our food and hospitality, support services are a significant part of our business. We are excited to recognize our amazing people who create great experiences every day and say thank you during Services Appreciation Week,” said CEO, Compass Group PLC, Dominic Blakemore.
Our teams maintain 1.9 billion square feet daily across more than 3,000 client locations. Pushing the boundaries of technology and revolutionizing sustainability practices, together we raise the profile of the important role services plays to influence the health, safety, productivity, and wellbeing of people and planet.
Here’s a snapshot from each sector of who we’re celebrating, and why:
Crothall Healthcare: This skilled community is committed to generating a non-toxic waste stream. Crothall Healthcare continually deploys sustainable cleaning products in hospitals that also improve patient safety, like using innovative devices that eliminate the toughest bacteria and viruses with chemical-free, non-toxic disinfectant.
ESFM: One of Compass Group’s fastest growing sectors created the ESFM Apprenticeship Program that’s designed to offer associates education, certification and licensing for trade workers like HVACR technicians, plumbers and electricians. The program covers tuition for the four-year learning modules and offers them paid hours to complete coursework while on the job.
SSC: To invest in diversity, equity and inclusion in the communities they serve, SSC started a fund for law enforcement scholarships for the education and training of minorities, supports client’s strategic recruitment and retention of minority male teachers, and makes recurring donations to the NAACP.
TouchPoint: Their associates are the lifeline to patients, residents and their families, which is why TouchPoint is committed to uplifting the spirit of those they serve and delivering excellent service with compassion at every point of human contact.
ESS: The market leader in providing support services in remote locations, like coastal logging camps in B.C. and summer Cadet camps in the Yukon, ESS is there to support every aspect of resident worker communities 365, 24 – 7. Each team member’s mission is to be better tomorrow than today, and do so by leading through innovative thinking, challenging the status quo and holding each other accountable.
Coreworks: In support of facilities that care for people, all 800 employees at 80 senior living and behavioral health environments across 28 states are singularly focused on delivering proven exceptional support services.
