Compass Group USA Releases 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

February 25, 2015

February 24, 2016 – Building on our legacy of industry-shaping commitments and partnerships, Compass Group USA is proud to present our 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

In the last year we built upon our past commitments and developed initiatives and programs where we can have the greatest impact.

  • In 2005, we announced a first-of-its-kind purchasing policy to curb antibiotic use in pork production. In 2015, we announced a comprehensive farm animal welfare policy covering dairy, pork, geese, beef, and veal.
  • In 2007, we implemented a monumental cage-free shell egg policy impacting the lives of thousands of animals. In 2015, we expanded our policy to include liquid eggs.
  • In 2009, we partnered with the Coalition of Immokalee and signed a code of conduct to improve working conditions of agricultural workers who harvest fresh tomatoes in Florida. Now we’re expanding our partnership with the Coalition of Immokalee workers and extending the code of conduct beyond Florida and to crops other than tomatoes.

Additionally, we signed the American Business Act on Climate Pledge, adopted the Menus of Change Principles, expanded our Imperfectly Delicious Produce program, and published our 2015 Sustainability Platform.

We continue working towards and setting new goals not only to better ourselves as a company, but to create a more sustainable food system and healthier planet for future generations.
