Honoring All Who Served on Veteran’s Day 2023: Raine Holly
Raine Holly is an exemplary advocate for health and wellness – in the military and civilian life. She’s a Major in the United States Army Reserve and a Regional Wellness Director for Eurest, one of Compass Group’s family of businesses. Compass is grateful to men and women like Raine, who continue to serve or have served our country. This Veterans Day, November 11, we salute all military veterans.
“My military journey began on May 16, 2013, when I was sworn in as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve,” Raine said. Originating from Oklahoma and now residing in Arkansas, this journey has taken her halfway around the globe and back. Her recent overseas deployment to Kuwait showcased her versatility and dedication. Serving as the US Army Central (ARCENT) Dietitian, she took on additional responsibility as the Theatre Consultant Dietitian for the 3rd Medical Command Deployment Support. In this dual role, Major Holly played a pivotal role in enhancing the health and readiness of soldiers.
“Earlier in my career, as a captain, I was a clinical dietitian for a 40-bed hospital in Kuwait and assisted soldiers in maintaining peak physical readiness through diet assessment and education,” Raine added.
Her impact extended beyond the hospital walls, where she provided nutrition education classes and wellness fairs, implemented innovative food concepts for dining facilities and championed Go for Green initiatives to a diverse population of more than 25,000 soldiers at Camps Arifjan and Beuhring, Kuwait, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. As a result of her versatility, Major Holly’s leadership responsibility expanded to encompass operations in the US Army’s Central Command, Department of Defense civilians, and defense contractors.
Fostering well-being is at Raine’s core. She’s co-chairing VetNet, a Compass Empowerment Resource Group, with Don Bachman, a Regional Vice President for TouchPoint Support Services who served in the US Air Force for ten years.
“Compass Group VetNet holds significant importance to me because it plays a pivotal role in supporting veterans transitioning to civilian careers, including those currently serving as reservists,” Raine shared. “This program provides essential resources and assistance, enabling these dedicated individuals to find meaningful employment and successfully reintegrate into civilian life and military commitments.”

In Raine’s civilian role as a Regional Wellness Director for Eurest, she manages wellness programming for three national accounts: Charles Schwab, Intuit, and Micron. “I get to collaborate closely with human resources, marketing, and property management teams to design tailored wellness programs that build awareness about and enhance engagement with our employee benefits,” Raine noted.
No doubt about it, Raine’s multifaceted career is leaving an indelible – and healthy – mark on the well-being of soldiers and our associates. And she’ll do the same with VetNet. Join her there!
