MIT MVP!

December 13, 2017

8 sectors. 51 participants. 1 MVP. Meet Javier Lopez, OCS Customer Service Manager and Canteen’s first ever MIT MVP.

Compass Manager in Training (MIT) accelerates the career growth of three audiences: student hires, early in career hires, and frontline high potentials. The frontline track targets frontline associates, like Javier, who started at Canteen as a route professional and have been identified as having the desire and ability to progress within the company.

“For MVP, we look for a Manager in Training who has the highest qualities to become a successful future leader,” said Learning & Development trainer Linda Kappauf.

Javier was honored as the MIT Class 19 MVP at their MIT live event following a week of in-person training and guest speakers.

“Being named MVP of my class and being the first Canteen associate to receive it is a real honor. I am so excited to represent such an awesome sector and branch that support my career ambitions,” Javier said. “I highly recommend the MIT program to any new or existing employee that is looking to grow their career within Compass Group.”

Javier’s manager, Jason Johnson, is proud of Javier’s success in the MIT program, “Javier has been on my team for more than two years now and his continued leadership never fails to impress me.”
