Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025 Award + Women in Culinary Video Demonstrate Compass’ Impact Across the Year
Compass Group USA has been named by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025. We were recognized for our commitment to belonging and inclusion, with initiatives that enhance talent acquisition, retention, career development, leadership opportunities, and supplier partnerships – creating an environment where women can thrive.
Using a rigorous evaluation process, Newsweek and market data research firm Plant-A Insights Group recognized companies that champion inclusivity based on an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions / interviews with HR professionals, and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among employees from U.S. companies.
“This recognition belongs to our amazing people,” said Cindy Noble, Chief People Officer. “We are deeply grateful for their remarkable dedication to nurturing a culture of care, inclusion, and personal growth throughout our family of businesses.”
More than 215,000 interviews were conducted and over 2.2 million company reviews collected in the past three years by Newsweek to identify all of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women. For the second year in a row, Compass received a five-star rating. See the full list of scored companies here.
Compass is the largest food service company in the world. Year-round initiatives celebrate, commemorate and advocate for inclusivity and belonging throughout the organization, and include community engagement opportunities along with history/heritage celebrations. For example, throughout March, Compass celebrated trailblazing women who are driving innovation and excellence across our company through our acclaimed Women in Culinary Showcase and initiatives like Women in Tech and the Thrive Leadership Program, as well as highlighting our women in facilities management and support services.
This Newsweek workplace recognition highlights our dedication to empowering our 320,000+ associates with the tools and resources they need to build meaningful careers with us.
Compass Group’s annual Women in Culinary (WIC) Showcase is another example of empowering our associates as this video of the 2025 event demonstrates. (Video also available with Spanish and French subtitles.)
In March, thirty talented chefs from across our family of businesses gathered in Miami for the inspiring two-and-a-half-day event dedicated to skill-building, storytelling, and empowerment. Participants heard from hospitality industry leaders, Compass executives, chef innovators, and WIC alumnae who reinforced the power of mentorship, personal branding, leading with courage, and paying it forward. Since launching in 2019, more than 100 chefs have participated in WIC.
“When we create spaces for people to thrive, we don’t just have an impact on careers, we also impact industries and communities,” says Aleshia McMath senior vice president of Culture, Equity and Inclusion. “We’re proud to receive Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women Award as well as share our Women in Culinary Showcase video, especially during Inclusion & Impact Month here at Compass, a time when we come together to create real change in our workplaces, communities, and beyond.”
