Services Appreciation Week at SSC: Celebrating the People Who Make the Magic
SSC Services for Education is looking back on last year’s celebrations before making this year’s Services Appreciation Week an outstanding success. The company’s collective energy, creativity and unwavering dedication brought celebrations to life and truly honored the teams who make a difference every day. Their efforts did more than just uplift spirits—they fostered belonging, pride and a deeper sense of connection across schools and campuses.
Richland School District 2 – Leading with Heart
Resident Regional Manager Yolanda Blackwell turned appreciation into a weeklong experience. Her office and warehouse overflowed with surprises—gifts, balloons, snacks—and the celebrations continued all week long. As Administrative Assistant Renee Allaire shared, Yolanda’s commitment to her teams is constant:
“Her associates are her pride and joy… she never misses an opportunity to express that to them.” Ms. Yolanda leads by example, treating her team with respect and care, and it shows in the lasting success of Richland School District 2.
Bentonville Public Schools – Thoughtful Touches
Unit Director Gerald Mctyre kicked off the week with enthusiasm, sharing plans and positive energy with managers across the state. His team was treated to personalized Thank You notes, swag giveaways and thoughtful gifts. Gerald also presented Years of Service certificates, celebrating long-time team members and their valuable contributions.
Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi – Celebration Meets Creativity
The leadership team turned break rooms into party zones, complete with balloons, games, and prizes. During the campus-wide treasure hunt, associates searched for hidden stars to win prizes. Facilities Director Chris Osuch also organized balloon darts—a game where every team member walked away a winner, with fun surprises ranging from candy to branded tumblers.
SSC is carrying this spirit forward into Services Appreciation Week 2025. We can’t wait to see how its teams are celebrated for all they do, every day.
