Supplier Diversity Partner Spotlight: Olé Mexican Foods

February 24, 2021

As a company, Olé Mexican Foods has been driven by a passion for great food, family and tradition. The company’s founder, Veronica Moreno, began making and selling authentic tortillas in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988. She used traditional ingredients and techniques passed down to her through generations from her native Mexico.

Named Hispanic Business Woman of the Year in Georgia, today her company is one of the largest producers of tortillas and Mexican food products in the U.S.  Products include corn and flour tortillas, tostadas and tortilla chips, bakery products, specialty cheeses and chorizo sausage.  Their Xtreme Wellness line was designed to meet the ongoing needs of customers seeking diabetic-friendly, carb-lean, low-calorie products.

Olé Mexican Foods is made with love and with a respect for cultural traditions. With her family owned and operated company, Veronica hopes she inspires others, specifically female minority business owners, as an example of how hard work and commitment to authenticity can lead to success.

Veronica shares her excitement about how Compass Group’s partnership contributes to continued personal and professional growth “you are known by the company you keep. Compass Group’s Foodbuy is the largest Foodservice Procurement in North America, it’s a true feather in our cap to be recognized as a supplier partner.”

Compass Group is excited to be part of Olé Mexican Foods’ journey, bringing them on as one of its newest Supplier Diversity partners. Learn more at olemex.com/our-story and look for them in your local grocery store.
