Celebrating Pride Month 2023: Joseph Kennedy

It’s the final week of Pride Month and Compass Group is proud to shine a spotlight on another incredible associate who shares advice on how we can exhibit strength in solidarity. Meet Joseph Kennedy, Regional Director of Operations for Restaurant Associates/Wolfgang Puck at the Georgia Aquarium.

“The easiest way for an associate to be an ally is to be present. Understand that all people are different, and by asking questions and learning more, we can create a more welcoming and inclusive community.”

Allyship is something Joseph has personally experienced at Compass. “Our team recently supported the local drag community as a group outing to celebrate hitting our goals and some team bonding. And we always participate in the Atlanta Pride parade with a float. The Georgia Aquarium is the host venue for the opening Atlanta Pride Party annually, where we cater light bites for the VIP section, run bar service for the full 3,000+ attendees, and work with our venue and community partners for décor and marketing. The event has been recognized with an ‘Allies’ award from the local Meeting and Event Planning community.”
