EverSource Celebrates its 5th Anniversary and Partnership with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

July 06, 2018

Sandy Springs, GA (July 7, 2018) – EverSource, a business services sector of Compass Group North America, commemorates its fifth anniversary and a five-year partnership with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Founded in 2013 by Amy Swart, EverSource began its on-going commitment to the protection and preservation of Africa’s endangered elephants with the adoption of an elephant for every new account they sign, which now includes a list of nearly 50.

“From the start, we wanted to do more than just create a company. We wanted to create a movement – revolutionizing the business services industry by creating a better experience for our clients and employees and truly making a difference in the world. Partnering with The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was the perfect alignment of our support and resources. Each new EverSource client helps save not only an elephant, but the future of the species. That’s powerful and something our clients and employees love!”

Among the fostered elephants is Kauro, rescued when he was only one month old, injured from a predator bite and trapped in a well in Sera, Kenya. EverSource has been fostering Kauro since they began providing services to a large cosmetic manufacturer, and will continue to foster Kauro until he is healthy enough to be released into the wild.

EverSource is also celebrating 160% average year-over-year growth in its partnerships from coast to coast nationally – including Hyundai and Newell Brands — by launching the “Take 5 With Your Herd for Being a Part of Ours” program that will reward each associate, and their immediate family, with a day at a local zoo or aquarium during the company’s anniversary month.

“Looking back over the past five years, I can’t help but be in awe of what our team has accomplished! Our growth has been tremendous, and we certainly have many reasons to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate than with ones’ own herd, their family! By sponsoring a day at a zoo or aquarium for each employee and their family, we are reaffirming our commitment to strong bonds and healthy lives. Happy people are not only good for business, but for their families, communities, our country and our world!”

The African elephant has been listed as “threatened” under the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) since 1978, primarily due to poaching for their tusks. While significant efforts have been made to eliminate the ivory trade, this animal population is still at risk. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphan’s Project rescues young helpless elephants that are often orphaned as a result of their families being killed for the ivory trade. Without considerable care, these helpless animals would not survive. As EverSource continues to grow, so does its commitment towards the Orphan’s Project.
