Describe your proudest moment at Compass so far.
My proudest moment was receiving a call from the Senior Vice President to offer me the Catering Manager position. I felt as if all my hard work had paid off and that I had taken a big step in my career path.
What is the best career advice that you have ever received?
My supervisor advised me to take advantage of training courses, take initiative to cross train in my account, and participate in new business openings to gain exposure to other RA business. I would share the following advice with others: Ensure you express interest in growing your career to your supervisor.
What made you smile today at work?
I really have a great team. We get to be creative and make things exciting for our customers. We have fun at work!
What would people be surprised to know about you?
Outside of work, I volunteer as a mentor to high school students. I share my career story in hopes of inspiring them, and I also recommend some great books that have motivated me in my career.
Is there anything you do with your team that is above and beyond?
The account where we work has a soccer league each summer. We formed the RA Eagles and play against five different teams within our account. We’re proud to hold the Champion title. It is great team building and friendly competition. Go RA Eagles!
