Embracing the spirit of unity within TouchPoint, we started our own tradition of honoring all associates at one time during Unity Week.

All TouchPoint account managers were encouraged to plan cross-departmental activities which promoted fun, celebrated success, and demonstrated the positive outcomes achieved through working together. Each TouchPoint team put their own spin on Unity Week and the results could not have been better!

At St. Vincent Anderson Regional in Anderson, IN, the environmental service, food & nutrition service and laundry departments hosted a soup fundraiser and silent auction. They raised over $1,500 for two families that the account will adopt during the holiday season.

During a family meal held at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ, associates had a chance to sit down and simply get to know one another. Supervisor Debbie Harris shared a special story from this meal about her co-worker. Earlier this year, her co-worker’s grandson had been a patient at St. Mary’s and was not expected to live past a week. Today, her grandson is six months old and she is grateful for each day she gets to spend with him. “If it were not for this event, I would never have known. [My co-worker’s story] blessed me,” Debbie said.

Across TouchPoint accounts, festivities included joint line-up meetings, cookouts, letters of gratitude from managers, and other unity building activities.

“By working together and focusing on being an inclusive workplace, we are creating a culture that serves the needs of our patients, residents and guests through teamwork and combined success. We celebrate our accomplishments year-round, but Unity Week is a special time for everyone within TouchPoint to come together,” said Jessi Moffitt, Director of Marketing and Communications.
